Update on restrictions from 19th July 2021

For the time being there will be no changes here at the Medical Centre. Patients coming to the surgery will still need to wear a mask, use hand sanitiser and socially distance. Our staff will continue to wear appropriate PPE.

Often patients coming in to the surgery are sick, vulnerable and may be unvaccinated due to medical reasons, we feel that these precautions will help all of our patients access healthcare in a safe way. We also need to minimise the number of our staff catching COVID or needing to self-isolate so we can keep the Practice open, for this reason alone these measures are vital.

Our consultations will continue, these might be by phone or video, or face to face. Our dispensary continues to dispense in excess of 10,000 prescriptions every month, our clinicians are consulting with higher numbers of patients than before the pandemic and we are dealing with huge numbers of queries in addition to offering covid vaccination clinics.

We hope you understand why we need to continue with these measures and keep the surgery a safe environment for patients and staff alike, especially as we are seeing high rates of positive covid cases in our community.

Thank you for your help and understanding.
